A widget is an application that displays featured content from another site directly on your webpage. This widget from Healthy People lets you share selected health disparities information from DATA2020 with visitors to your organization’s website.

What is a health disparity?

A health disparity is a type of health difference that is closely linked with social, economic, and/or environmental disadvantage. Read more about disparities in health.

What data does the health disparities widget display?

The widget displays disparities data related to the Healthy People 2020 objectives for the Leading Health Indicators (LHIs). LHIs are critical health issues that—if tackled appropriately—will dramatically reduce the leading causes of death and preventable illnesses.

The health disparities widget lets users browse by disparity type or Leading Health Indicator, then view data in clear graphics.

How do I add the widget to my website?

The health disparities widget is easy to add to any webpage. Just copy the code below and paste it into the code on your site. Once you’ve added the widget, there’s no technical maintenance required. The content will update automatically.
