Drum Major for Justice (DMFJ) is a self-paced, online course of study. It is designed to equip persons of faith in the Christian tradition to become effective advocates and organizers for social justice.

The course is structured to help learning partners (participants) explore the history of the Black Church and Black-led liberation movements while applying those lessons to the contemporary challenges of systemic oppression.
By offering this course, JCSTS seeks to inspire transformation through a theology and practice of liberation deeply rooted in the traditions of the Black Church. The price for the course is $675.00.
The course is divided into four comprehensive units:

Examining the Underpinnings of Systemic Oppression and Anti-Black Racism

The Black Church, Black Liberation Theology, Womanist Thought, and Faith-based Black Nationalism

Patterns of Racism and Pathways of Resistance

Black-Led Liberation Movements: Constructing a Theology and Practice of Healing and Repair
