Followers of Christ believe giving is more than a responsibility. It is an opportunity for us to gratefully and joyfully acknowledge that God is the source of all we have, and it is a means by which we participate with God in carrying out God's mission in the world. 

 

What is God's Mission?

At JCSTS, we believe God's mission is bigger than any institutional mission we might devise--including the seminary's mission of advancing communities of faith, justice, and compassion through innovation in theological education!

 

We believe God's mission involves (1) proclaiming the gospel for the salvation of humankind; (2) providing shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship; (3) worshiping together divinely; (4) preserving the truth; (5) promoting social righteousness; and (6) exhibiting the 'Kindom' of Heaven to the world. 

 

Why Give to JCSTS?

People of faith have to be taught how to carry out God's mission. Plain and simple. That's what seminaries do. And that's what JCSTS does.
