Overview of the African Presence in the Bible

This course examines the significant and historical presence of African people and regions throughout the biblical narrative. Participants will explore the geographical context of the ancient world, identifying the roles played by African figures in both the Old and New Testaments. The curriculum focuses on factual historical data and scriptural analysis to highlight the contributions of Cush, Egypt, and Ethiopia. By studying these texts, learners will gain a more accurate understanding of the multicultural reality of biblical history and how African heritage is fundamentally connected to the Judeo-Christian tradition.
