It incorporates contemporary scholarship regarding authorship, composition timelines, and source criticism. A significant portion of the curriculum centers on Black and Womanist hermeneutics, featuring the work of scholars like Randall Bailey, Ph.D. Participants will analyze the text through lenses of justice and liberation, gaining a balanced understanding of traditional academic approaches alongside critical perspectives from the Black Church tradition.
