A History of Israel

About

This course provides a comprehensive examination of Israelite history based on the definitive text by scholar John Bright. It traces the journey of the Hebrew people from the ancestral migrations through the formative periods of the Exodus and the covenant at Sinai. Students will analyze the development of the Israelite monarchy and the impact of the Babylonian Exile on religious identity. The curriculum explores the intersection of archaeological findings and the biblical narrative to present a realistic view of the ancient Near Eastern world. This study emphasizes the historical foundations of justice and faith that continue to influence modern theological discourse.
