This course examines the evolution of the Christian church from the 16th-century Protestant Reformation to the modern era. We will explore how major theological shifts, the Enlightenment, and global expansion have redefined faith and practice. Special focus is placed on the emergence of the Black Church, the development of Liberation Theology, and the church's role in social justice movements. Participants will gain a factual understanding of the diverse denominational landscape and the contemporary challenges facing global Christianity today.
