The Journey of Aging

About

This program examines the process of aging through a theological and social justice lens, specifically tailored for faith-based communities. Participants will explore how various traditions view the elder years as a period of spiritual growth rather than decline. The curriculum addresses systemic challenges including ageism, economic disparities in elder care, and the specific needs of BIPOC-led justice initiatives. By the end of this course, learners will have practical tools for pastoral care, advocacy, and building age-inclusive congregations that honor the dignity and wisdom of older adults.
