Pride and Faith: The Justice Movement

This course explores the intersection of LGBTQ+ Pride and faith-based social justice. We examine the historical foundations of the movement, from early resistance to modern advocacy, alongside the philosophical and theological shifts that have shaped the relationship between religious institutions and LGBTQ+ individuals. Students will study the lives of influential leaders and the evolving interpretations of sacred texts that inform inclusive ministry. The program emphasizes moral courage and civic engagement, providing a framework for understanding how faith communities can actively participate in the ongoing pursuit of dignity and justice for all.
