This course provides a foundation in pastoral care within the context of community justice and spiritual support. Participants will examine the history of caregiving in the Black Church and learn practical skills for providing emotional and spiritual guidance to those facing systemic challenges. The curriculum covers active listening, grief counseling, and the ethics of care in faith-based activism. By the end of the program, learners will be better prepared to serve their communities with compassion and moral courage, addressing both individual needs and collective healing.
